Jenna Cataleta brings a wealth of knowledge and personal experience to her role as a professional life coach for caregivers. With certifications in Integrative Life Coaching, Mindfulness and Meditation, Reiki Energy Healing, and Trauma Support and Care, Jenna is well-equipped to guide caregivers through their personal and professional challenges. Her background as a national speaker, advocate for teacher wellness, and former special education teacher enriches her deep understanding of caregiving dynamics.

Why I Became a Connection Coach

In 2020, I created a virtual mindfulness and meditation workshop series for teachers to support their own emotional and mental wellness as professional caregivers.

After each class, I consistently had a few teachers linger around, asking more personal questions and sharing their deeper truths.

They were looking for more intimate support and needed a space to be authentically seen and heard beyond the learning environment.

And I LOVED it!!

I, too, craved these deeper conversations, and I witnessed the power of deep empathic listening and connection to offer individuals personal transformative care.

Witnessing this deeper need ignited a fire within my heart to serve women in a caregiving role.

It lights me up to see women step into their power, regain their energy, feel connected to their Spirit again, and take care of their personal needs without sacrificing the work they do every day caring for others.

As a Professional Life Coach for Caregivers, I deeply believe that the answers you are seeking are found within YOU.

FAQs

  • All professional life coaches are different, bringing a certain flavor of unique offerings, structures, styles, and expertise. Generally speaking, a professional life coach helps individuals create the positive results and goals that they are seeking in their lives.

    I am certified as an “integrative life coach” and trained in traditional life coaching practices as well as other modalities and schools of thought (such as humanistic coaching, positive psychology, intuitive life coaching, etc.). Having this knowledge gives me expertise and flexibility in personalizing each coaching session to ensure that the coaching experience is matched just for the client and their unique life experiences, circumstances, and needs.

    As a professional life coach for caregivers, I offer a sacred container for women in a caregiving role to be heard and validated in their own words, thoughts, feelings, and beliefs without interruption or “fixing”. I believe that my clients hold the deeper truths and knowledge that they are seeking; I am here to help them excavate this wisdom through deep empathic listening, exploratory questioning and exercises, guided meditation and visualization, and disrupting old patterns of being and blind spots that are no longer supportive.

    Each coaching session is about 90 minutes in length* with a general structure of-

    Grounding- Mindful self-connection opening exercise

    Exploration- Self-inquiry and deepening awareness of current needs and goals.

    Action and Accountability- create a plan of action outlining tools, steps, strategies, etc., to help you meet personal caregiving goals.

    Recap and Reflect- pause for reflection, feedback, and discussion of what to work on in between sessions.

    Grounding-mindful self-connection closing exercise.

  • Therapy takes a more clinical role in supporting the client, utilizing a mental health diagnosis to write and may follow a prescribed treatment plan. Generally speaking, therapy tends to focus more on the past, on the underlying problem that needs to be treated, in order to help the client be more successful in present-day day-to-day living.

    Although I am trained in trauma-responsive care, I do not go as deep in trauma support as a therapist may feel comfortable and trained in doing. Healing the past is not the focus of our coaching sessions. We may use stories from the past to inform our future, but the main focus for life coaching is present and future-orientated.

    Both therapy and coaching can take a directive, non-directive, or mixed approach to providing healing and support. As a professional life coach, I tend to take a more non-directive approach to coaching, meaning that in session, the client is mostly talking, and I am listening, validating, reframing, and questioning. At times, when needed, I will take a more direct approach if the client needs that level of direct support and accountability (such as modeling a new stress management strategy or communication modality).

    ● The client/partner is valued and supported holistically (mind, body, emotions, spirit)

    ● Coaching is client-centered and directed, with the coach as a guide and partner in personal transformation.

  • The client schedules their own sessions at a time and day that is most convenient for them! After signing up, I provide a link to schedule online. If there are any time/day conflicts, I can work with clients directly to find a mutually agreeable time/day.

    I recommend that clients locate a private space for coaching sessions. It can also be helpful to bring a journal and something to write with. Other than this, there is nothing to prepare for! This time is all for you!!
